Clarence and Patricia Page founded Cove Taxi in March 1996. Cove Taxi began as a rental car service frequently patronized by Fort Hood soldiers. When the local CC Cab Company sold out to the Killeen Cab Company in the early 1990’s, the rental car service lost business because soldiers had a difficult time getting back to Fort Hood after they returned their rented vehicles. When Patricia had to take them back in a rental car, we decided if we were going to run a taxi service we should get paid for it. Clarence worked part time as a mechanic for CC Cab Company in the late 1980’s while stationed at Fort Hood. So drawing on his experience, he set aside five rental cars to be used as taxicabs and discovered a new source of income. When the taxi service started to make more money than the fleet of rental cars did, we took most of the rental cars and turned them into taxicabs and sold the rest.

Cove Taxi, Inc. has been in the taxicab business for the past twelve (12) years. Cove Taxi, Inc. has seen over a decade of steady and consistent growth. Cove Taxi, Inc. is licensed and permitted to pick-up and drop-off in Killeen, Copperas Cove, the Killeen/ Fort Hood Regional Airport, Fort Hood, Gatesville, Harker Heights, Nolanville, Belton, Lampasas, and all points in between. Cove Taxi, Inc. is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 364 days a year (we are closed Christmas Day). Every taxi in the fleet of seventeen (17) vehicles is equipped with an ECO System fuel enhancer, giving our vehicles lower emissions and making our taxicabs environmentally friendly. All our taxis are computer dispatched with GPS tracking, are credit card capable, and have video monitoring.
